Description

Atropos is inspired by the Greek goddess of fate—known as the one who cuts the thread of life. As the final sister in the trio of the Moirai, her role represents endings, closure, and the mysterious transition from life to death.

In this piece, she is cloaked in a storm of color—my signature melting rainbow palette—where swirling blues, earthy greens, and vibrant bursts of orange cascade like threads unraveling. Her hands are delicately clasped, both shielding and holding something unseen, echoing the solemn responsibility she carries. The face is hidden beneath the tidal wave of color, suggesting the anonymity and inevitability of fate itself.

Through dynamic motion and layered textures, I wanted to express the haunting beauty of letting go—of release, surrender, and the transformative nature of an ending. Atropos is not a figure of fear, but of deep reverence and reflection. She is the stillness at the end of a story, and the unseen hand that makes space for new beginnings.
